New Digital Stamp Duos - An Inspiring Throwback to Classic Cardmaking + Giveaway

Wow, I can't believe it's June already! Of course, the beginning of a new month also means more new stamps and for the first time in a long time I feel like this month's release captures the heart of classic cardmaking which makes the collection a very special one for the designers and I and we hope that you feel the same!

We are releasing 4 new digital stamp duo sets today! That's right, each of the sets includes 2 coordinating images and -as always- many sentiment options. Remember that digital gives you the freedom to play with the size, color and printing options of the images, which is what makes them so versatile! We have shared so many techniques along the way on how to expand your digital stamps so we really hope you are enjoying this creative journey together with us!

I am using the new set Sending Kindness today. I printed the pear flowers and the pears with a regular inkjet printer (which is the perfect format for alcohol marker coloring). I colored the images with Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut them to attach them to the card together as one image. For the background mat I printed the sentiment on one side and then cut it. (You can do this in Microsoft Word easily.) I then sponged one side of the mat with Distress Ink, flickered some water droplets and also some acrylic paint. That created a nice transition and completed the classic look of this card.

CRAFTY TIP FOR DIGIS: After I colored the images and before I adhered them to the card, I sprayed them a couple of times with Glitter Dust spray in Gold by Therm O Web. This is the BEST way to add shimmer to your digital stamps without any smear or ink bleeding. I have tried many other shimmer sprays but this one is by far the best. It dries instantly and the shimer and sparkle is beyond beautiful. You can get it in different glitter colors. The glitter doesn't come of, so that is another advantage!

I wanted to match the card base with the sparkle on the images and this stunning Nero Incandescent metallic cardstock was just perfect for the layering mat. I also used a beautiful olive green (Jelly Bean Green #100) -which matched the coloring nicely- for the card base. You can find both of these cardstocks on Paper Temptress!

  9. Going to have to get a job to be able to buy all of your wonderful digital stamps. It is difficult to pick a favorite set from your recent release but I would have to say Lady since I have fun playing with Vintage images.

I love the card you created using Sending Kindness. Thanks for the tip about the glitter dust. My nearest craft store just happens to carry that brand so I'll check it out. :-) I hate when products don't play nicely with inkjet images and laser print toner is expensive. :-(

NEW Unity Stamp Co. Release with Graciellie Design! - Fall/Winter Rubber Stamp Collection + 3 Prizes

We are so excited to announce our new rubber stamp collection with Unity Stamp Company is out! We've been working behind the scenes to create a complete Fall/Winter stamp selection inspired on our digital shop with the purpose of giving traditional stampers the chance to try out our designs. There are 8 new stamp sets available now at Unity Stamp Co. and we are celebrating the ocassion with an amazing blog hop and of course we have lots of prizes for our readers!
Before we go into today's giveaways details, I would love to share the first card I made with my new rubber stamp sets! This is one of my favorite flowers in the collection and I had to play with it right away! This set is called Amazing Things and it includes beautiful inspirational sentiments.

I stamped the flowers in black, using Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink and colored the image with Spectrum Noir Makers Purples and Reds. I fussy cut the images using Westcott's Titanium Bonded Microtip Precision Scissors (…

Dreaming of a White Christmas
gilded & elegant christmas card

I have a confession to make... This year I've been drawn to make white and gold Christmas cards. I can't even think of traditional Christmas colors when I want to make a project! So today's poinsettia card and tutorial translate very well what Christmas is gonna be like this December at home.

White and gold look so elegant together! Since the holidays are all about sparkle too, I used one of my favorite glitter techniques and I'm sharing a quick and easy tutorial with youHERE.

I created the background myself, layering snowflake stamps in different designs, first in a very light beige, then in gold embossing. Afterwards, I dry embossed the stamped mat with a sutile polka dot design and used a brayer to apply light beige paint to the raised pattern.

As for the very layered and beautiful center of the card, I started out with an intricate die cut (see tutorial HERE) and continued building layers, with large snowflake die cuts and finally with a large handmade poinsettia …

Bible Journaling with Pan Pastel, Deco Foil, TCW and Unity Stamp Co.

I promised I would be back with a new art journaling inspiration project today... This might as well become a habit! This time I have a page from Psalm 31 that I handdrawn and colored with PanPastel. The softness of the PanPastel goes so well with the bible pages and it so easy to blend and color with.
I knew I wanted a bold floral image on this page. I love floral illustrations and I had to try out this Magnolia here. I handdrawn the flower in pencil first inspired by a photograph online. This time I did not feel the need to prep my page because I was not going to be using any wet media on it. Then I started shading my flower starting with a 430.5 Magenta, adding highlights with 380.8 Red Oxide Tint and 100.5 Titanium White (trying not to touch the rest of the image and only blending it on the lightest spots of the flower). I also added 470.8 Violet Tint to create a little bit of shadows but since my coloring is usually whimsical it is ok if the tones shadows and highlights are so r…
