I got some good news!

Yes, I got some good news to share with you today: His mercies are NEW every morning! And there is no way I could be here speaking to you through this post without God's mercy. As his mercies renew we too strenghten and find a way to wake up, get out of our beds and keep going.

This week at Classy Cards 'n Such we have a challenge that we'd love you to join: Time For A "New Year" - Use something new you just received and add some glitter and/or bling. I have been blessed recently with many new goodies, so I used some of them to make my card for today, and I also added some sparkle for the challenge!

I started out by die cutting my card base with Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics. Then I added a patterned paper layer die cut with Our Daily Bread Designs' Flourished Star Pattern set, that I adhered with 1/2" Scor-Tape.

I created a central border with two individual borders die cut with Our Daily Bread Designs' Beautiful Borders. Next I added a flourish oval cut from Echo - Bronze Stardream Metallic using Spellbinders Elegant Ovals. I also used the same set to die cut a smaller oval on which I stamped a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs' stamp set Glory.

I thought I'd add a nice metallic detail to the card with this Village Lamp Post from PoppyStamps die cut from Precious Metals Craft Foil by Spellbinders (using the silver back of the foil). I used a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" Double sided adhesive sheet to stick some Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Crystal Ice glitter for the lampost's lights. I added the lampost to the side of the ovals and finished my design with a few Baby Rhinestones - Silver.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and of course I can't sign off without wishing you all a great 2015! May this new year bring many blessings to you and yours!

Thank you for stopping by!

Stop by the blog on January 1st! I will have a jam packed post with lots of surprises for you!

I'd like to submit my card to:

Video Tutorial: Quick New Year's Card with Simple Stories & Deco Foil

I'm back with a fun and really easy to make card for the Holidays or the New Year and I have a video tutorial with Therm O Web today. I'm sure we all are rushing at the very last minute looking for tags and cards and wrapping gifts... I know I always am. That is why my latest Holiday projects have been on the quick and easy side so you can try them out if you need to! The usual theme for New Year's cards is usually monochromatic, metallic...
